Justin Ellis, M.S., LPC, PhD Student in Clinical Psychology

Justin is skilled with working with those who present with severe and chronic mental illness such as bipolar disorder and severe depression. He also has worked with various personality disorders and psychotic disorders. He enjoys working with older adults. His approach is based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is starting to dig deeper into Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, also known as ACT. Justin also uses Mindfulness Based Techniques to help clients with various concerns. Justin aims to have therapy as a continuing collaborative process between him and his clients.

Justin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. He earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Scranton studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, he is enrolled at Fielding Graduate University in pursuit of his PhD  in Clinical Psychology. He is in training at Healing Path Psychology under the supervision of Patrick Hoolahan, Psy.D., in order to strengthen his skills and knowledge in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

Justin has a history of working as an inpatient therapist with severe and chronic mental illness. He has previous experience conducting psychological assessments and group work in an inpatient setting. Currently, he works at an outpatient clinic working with a variety of presenting concerns such as anxiety, mood problems, and relationship concerns.
