Amita Saini, M.A., LAPC
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, therapy can be a powerful place to pause, reflect, and grow. I’m Amita Saini, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, compassion, and a grounded sense of direction. I work with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, and major life changes. Many of my clients are carrying more than they’ve ever shared out loud — stress, grief, shame, fear, or simply the weight of trying to hold everything together. My goal is to meet you in that space with real care and respect, and to help you move toward lasting change, not just short-term relief.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear — and that’s one of my strengths. I started out in law, studying the intersection of mental health and justice, and later spent years leading operations in real estate development. But a consistent thread throughout my life has been a deep interest in understanding people — how we hurt, how we heal, and how we move forward. That curiosity eventually led me to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and shift fully into the work I find most meaningful today.

In my clinical experience, I’ve supported individuals in both residential and outpatient settings who were working through substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, and draw from trauma-informed care, internal family systems, and attachment theory to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. I also incorporate harm reduction strategies where appropriate and am in the process of completing EMDR training to deepen my work with trauma survivors.

Clients often tell me they feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported in our work together. My goal is to create a space that feels both safe and purposeful — where we can explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your inner resilience, and build toward the life you want to live.

I currently practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and professional counselor, as I continue to grow and deepen my skills as a clinician.
