Wendy Watkins, M.A., LAPC

At our Bethlehem clinic, we know that no two journeys are the same. That’s why we offer personalized therapy for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, sleep issues, and more—so you can feel heard, understood, and supported every step of the way.

Wendy’s Approach to Treatment

When life throws you for a loop, let Wendy be your rock! Life can leave you feeling bogged down with stress but unsure how to break free. Wendy offers a warm, supportive space where you can explore your concerns and develop strategies for moving forward. She works with adults, couples and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Wendy draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, art therapy, and solution-focused approaches. She believes every person’s story is unique and collaborates with you to find the approaches and tools that fit best for your goals and needs.

Wendy has experience counseling couples, individuals and families from all walks of life. She is skilled at helping clients navigate intense life challenges with steadiness and compassion, and has worked within the LBGTQIA+ community. Her clinical work is guided by the belief that therapy should be adapted to each client’s needs, honoring the strengths they already possess while building new skills for the future.

Before becoming a counselor, Wendy spent many years in higher education, guiding students and families through both academic and personal challenges. This work gave her a deep understanding of how stress, uncertainty, and life transitions can affect people’s well-being—and how empathy, clear communication, and practical support can make a difference. Wendy is provisionally licensed and practices under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and professional counselor as she works toward becoming independently licensed.

Wendy’s goal in every session is to help you leave feeling more equipped, more grounded, and more hopeful about the road ahead. Whether you are seeking support through a crisis, working toward personal growth, or simply needing a safe place to be heard, she will meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward meaningful change.
